Marcel’s roots will always be in his native Switzerland and its strong culture and traditions, but his perspective is broadened by extensive travel experience, a love for diverse music, and a skill for learning languages (Marcel speaks English, German, Italian, and Swedish).
Outside of hockey, Marcel values family, nature, and philosophy. This helps him stay grounded and focused, qualities that strongly influence his approach to leadership and coaching.
This well-rounded perspective allows him to lead with calmness and presence, especially in high-pressure environments, and to connect with people beyond their role on the ice.
And don’t let the serious face or the hardcore reputation fool you – Marcel loves a good joke, and he has a beautiful way of seeing and valuing people for exactly who they are.
